Is it safe?
Yes it has been approved by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) which means that it has been tested and passed by one of the most respected agencies in the world. It is also used by some of the best known and respected clinics in Ireland.
We provide a free laser consultation to ensure that you understand the complete process and how you will get the ultimate results from our state of the art technology. We will show you how the machine works and how it reduces hair growth. We will discuss, skin type, hair colour, lifestyle, medication and the importance of wearing an SPF on your skin. With this information we can be confident that you are a suitable person for the treatment and won’t have an adverse reaction.
How does the Laser work?
Laser energy is delivered through a small handpiece operated by your practitioner. The laser delivers an intense beam of light, which is absorbed by the skin and converted to heat. The heat is then absorbed by the cells being targeted, while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected. Skin may be slightly red immediately following the procedure. This typically lasts from a few minutes to several hours after the procedure.
How many treatments will I need?
This as you can imagine will depended on your skin and hair type but in general we have found that on average people will require a minimum of 6 treatments.
Is it permanent?
Once again this is dependent on your skin and hair type, however, the FDA have approved the GentleLASE as a method of permanent hair removal and with our trained team to guide you we will ensure that you get the optimum results.
Does it hurt?
Most people find a mild discomfort but we seldom find anyone who wishes to stop treatment. The Candela GentleLASE, which we use is the latest technology and has an additional cooling device which reduces the sensitivity of the treatment..
If you suffer from sensitive skin our experienced team are there to advise you on the best course to take.
